Luxury Property Firm exclusively markets properties priced in the top 10 percent of the residential real estate market, as determined by the sales prices of all residential properties within a specific geographic area. In some areas, the top 10 percent of properties might be greater than $400,000, while in other areas the cutoff point for our services is a higher price point. We selected the top 10 percent as our target market because we want to ensure that our brand represents the best in the industry. Luxury Property Firm was created based on the observations of our founder, Trae Zipperer, a Harvard Business School graduate and successful broker of luxury properties. He finds that the upper end of the real estate spectrum is being inadequately served by traditional real estate brokerage entities.

A typical brokerage office serves the entire spectrum of real estate and provides virtually the same level of services without regard to the total compensation being paid. There is little to no differentiation between what is provided to a seller, whether the broker stands to earn $1,000 or $500,000. Effectively, a typical brokerage office business model seeks a high number of transactions with agents applying a common marketing plan to each listed property, regardless of price point. This enables profitability for even the lowest priced sales. Any marketing effort beyond simply entering the listing into the multiple listing service “MLS” is produced and paid for by the listing agents, not the broker. That is why so many agents have their personal photos prominently displayed in their respective advertising pieces. That is, of course, if they can afford to promote their luxury priced listings in the first place.

Prior to the creation of Luxury Property Firm, luxury home sellers had few options other than to pick an agent out of the people they knew who happened to have a real estate license. A gut wrenching decision in most cases, they had to choose from their relatives, their neighbors or their golfing buddy. The seller could only choose one, so somebody always got their feelings hurt. Sellers would consider this process of selection as “giving” the listing to an acquaintance.
